Farewell Jasmine

Jasmine could have been made up as a puppy, she did so well in the show ring, she
was definitely our best brood bitch and her progeny have left their mark throughout
South Africa.
She gave us our wonderful dog Robbie (Ch Macanne Newsflash) who was a breed champion
and reached ‘C’ test in obedience and with the same sire but a different litter Lewis
(Ch Macanne Llewellyn) owned by Cynthia and Paul Lakin who introduced them to the
show ring. Lewis also reached ‘C’ test in obedience.
Robbie’s sister Ch. Macanne Nutkin of Barleywood belonging to Julie & Brian Lovell,
whelped another 5 breed champions, one of which was Sambucca (Ch. Barleywood Bachelor
Boy) belonging to Ronel Stone who was a top winning show dog, with many best of breeds,
group wins and best in shows.
We did some field training with Jas which she absolutely loved, however she was extremely
stubborn and if she decided to keep the bird, although she never hard mouthed she
invariably won, the bird handover.
Jas was a beautiful bitch with a lovely temperament. She did therapy work at retirement
villages, where she was vey loved.
She was a sound bitch, who walked with us twice a day every day at Emmarentia and
never lagged to the day she crossed the Rainbow Bridge. She lived to almost 16 years.
Thank you Jas for being such a wonderful mother and giving so many people the pleasure
of owning a wonderful golden.
